Hyderabad : Hyderabad is the fifth largest city in India with an ancient civilization and culture. Hyderabad and Secunderbad are twin cities, separated by the Husain Sagar river. Hyderabad occupies a unique position on the map of India. With its confluence of cultures and traditions, the city is often described as a link between the north and the south, and a meeting place of the east and the west.

Vijayawada : In Andhra Pradesh is located at the head of the Krishna delta, 70km from the sea. Earlier known as Bezwada it was an important centre of the Vishnukundin rulers in the 5C -6C and the headquarters of the Early Chalukyas of Badami. The present name is derived from the presiding deity, Kanakdurga also called vijaya. The city, a major railway Junction is picturesquely surrounded by hills on three sides, with the swiftly flowing waters of the Krishna river on the south. Today it is a thriving business centre and a convenient base from which to visit varied historical sites.

Tirupati : The holy city is located in the southeastern part of Andhra Pradesh, in Chittoor district. Known as the abode of the Hindu god 'Venkateshwara', Tirupati is famous for the Venkateswara temple in the sacred Tirumala hills at an elevation of 860m. One of the most important pilgrimage centers in India,the temple draws millions of pilgrims and is believed to be the busiest pilgrimage centre in the world. Tirupati town itself, has several temples and is famous for its red wooden toys, copper and brass idols.

Visakhapatnam : in Andhra Pradesh, popularly known as Vizag, is a booming industrial city on the east coast of India. The port city with the biggest ship building yard in India, is also the headquarters of the Eastern Naval Command. The beautiful city with its twin town Waltair, forms a harmonious blend of majestic hills, valleys and golden beaches along the Bay of Bengal coastline. In addition to being a major port handling high volume of cargo, it has developed oil refining, fertilizer, petro-chemical, steel plant, sugar refining and jute industries.

The Mysore Palace, built is Indo-Saracenic style with domes turrets, arches and colonnades; the palace is a treasure house of exquisite carvings and works of art from all over the world.

This sanctuary is famous for its Nilgiri Tahr, an endangered animal. Actually this was set up especially for the preservation of this Nilgiri Tahr. Now the number of Tahrs has increased and they constitute the largest known.

Tirupati City is located in the southeastern part of Andhra Pradesh State. It lies about 152-km northwest of Chennai in the Palkonda Hills.Tirupati is known as the abode of the Hindu god Venkateshwara.

Kettuvallom (House Boat) is a country boat that was used in the early days for the transport of goods from the isolated interior villages to the towns with the advent of roads, bridges and ferry services.
